hello,my mom is having umbilical hernia after my birth (22 yrs ago).occasionally she has pain in belly button whenever she coughs,sneezes,long travel in bus.her belly button looks bloated.she feels that the intestine fell inside the belly button.at that time she has severe pain,so our family doctor asked her to lie down in the bed and push the intestine using slight massage by hand. 2 doctor whom we have consulted, suggested her to do surgery.but our family doctor asked her to reduce her weight initially,& if its in need then surgery can be done. what are all the things should not be done by mom? any other advice to her reg hernia
