Suggest Treatment For Pain In The Nipples

i recently went camping an it was very cold in the area so my nipples happen to be cold and my friend threw her phone at my nipple and it hurt extremely bad but i figured it was because it had been so cold i recently realized my nipple is tender and dark purple as the other one is normal given that it has been a week since the incident it worries me. a while ago i had a freak out that i found what felt like a lump in the same boob but never got it checked it out. could it be cancer?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

Purple discoloration of the nipple after local trauma may be due to bruising. On the other hand, because you have noticed a lump in that breast, you should have a visit with your doctor as soon as possible. It is best to have it checked and make sure of the nature of the lump.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Antoneta Zotaj,
