Suggest Treatment For Pain In The Sternum

I believe based on the web md page, that I might be having periodic muscle cramps, around center of my chest. It s not really a painful feeling, but more of a periodic pulsations, not in the heart area but more around the sternum. In addition the felling on happens every once in a while. I work out a lot, could it be related?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

It includes applying an ice pack to the chest, taking non steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs, such as ibuprofen (Advil, Motrin) to reduce pain and inflammation and limiting your movements and avoiding any heavy lifting.

Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Ajeet Singh, General & Family Physician
