Suggest Treatment For Pain In Thigh After An Injury

My dad hit his thigh on chair and now its paining. The area has little injury. He used biofreeze and it pained him a lot. Now he is using warm soaks and volini. what should we do as he is here on tourist visa and does not have very good medical insurance.
