Suggest Treatment For Pain, Nausea And Gas Along With Weightloss

I was told by my GI doc to have my gallbladder out 4 yrs ago, even though normal hida scan and ultrasound. I chose to wait because I have MS and wanted to avoid surgery but am having pain, nausious, gas, bad taste in mouth, lost 10 lbs, still can t eat for past 5 weeks. Went to ER who referred me to surgeon, who doesn t want to take it out because recent hida scan and ultra sound are normal. I scheduled an appt with GI, but not for 10 days. I am at my whits end, should I go back to the ER and beg to have my gallbladder out?

hi.
thanks for posting your query at HCM.

i recommend to:

- undergo "endoscopic examination" as soon as possible as your symptoms with weight loss are an indication for upper GI endoscopy.
furthermore:
1. H.plori test ( Urea Breath Test - UBT) . If results are positive , you may need to repeat the eradication therapy
2. use a proton pump inhibitor ( omeprazole, pantoprazole 40mg)once daily before breakfast for atleast "one month".
3. avoid fat meals and use less salt
4. eat fresh fruits
5. eat dinner atleast 3 hours before going to bed
6. include plain yogurt in your meal
7. loose weight if overweight or obese
