Suggest Treatment For Pain While Recovering From UTI
I had a problem of urinary tract infection.I went to a doctor and he gives me some medical tests and then he gives me some antibiotic like Escitalopram and Nintoin for 10 days.. My urinary infection is now may be gone but my body is too weak still and there are too much pain in my lower parts of my body. I get tired easyly. And there is sometimes semens in my urine when i get nervious or anxious.... What is the solution of this..Body pain is sometimes intolarable... Please give me a suggestion :)
Escitalopram is antidepressant medicine not for UTI and you can't stop this medicine suddenly after 10 days of medication. It could be a reason for your tiredness. Abdominal pain should subside after UTI medication, but for you, it's persisting.
In my opinion, you should repeat one normal routine urine test, and if possible one abdomen scan to rule out cystitis or pyelonephritis. If routine urine shows evidence of infection, should do a urine culture sensitivity test to know the type of bacterial infection and antibiotic sensitivity pattern.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Dr. Rajshree Agrawal, General & Family Physician
