Suggest Treatment For Painful Abscess On Upper Gum

I have an abscess in my upper right gum above a broken tooth. My dentist just finished a r/c on Tuesday and knows the abscess is there but has not indicated that he wants to do anything about it. He has already had to put me on two different antibiotics just to "keep it under control" the first before my r/c and the second after my first r/c apt because my entire cheek swelled up. The abscess is painful and there is not a blister, it feels fairly deep. What should I do?

Hello,

Read your query , understand your concern as you have painful abscess tooth there is pus formation at the apex of root due to decayed tooth (carious tooth) I will suggest you to consult dentist and go for proper Root canal treatment , after access opening of tooth pus will drain and you will get relief .
You can take antibiotics like Amoxicillin CV or Oflox oz , and Analgesic ( painkiller) like Ibugesic plus or ketrol dt by consulting your local doctor for temporary relief.
You can do luke warm saline gargle two - three times a day.

Hope it helps you.
If you have further query I will be happy to help

Regards
