Suggest Treatment For Painful Acne On Chin
hi i'm rashmi and i'm 35 yrs old. recently i v\have developed a huge very painful acne/pimple on the left side of my chin....my left side and neck has swollen. i've been prescribed an antibiotic and have been taking painkillers, but my condition has not improved. i'm unable to open my mouth and also the pain is very severe....please help

Understanding your concern. As per your query you have painful acne on chin along with neck pain and difficulty in mouth opening which shows severe infection known as cystic acne . As you are taking antibiotics along with painkillers but not gerrting benefitted.
I would suggest you to :-
Consult dermatologist again .
Doctor may prescribe antibiotic like minocycline 50 mg daily in morning and isotretinoin capsule .
He/she may prescribe clindamycine gel for applying twice daily or retinoid gel .
You should apply benzoyl peroxide face wash and give cold compresses .
