Suggest Treatment For Painful And Harder Spot On Thigh After Incision

hi I recently got a incision. the doctor put this long white string like thing inside of the hole he cut open in my inner thigh. he told me to take it out after two days. he said it should come right out when I soak in warm water. I did do it but it is a little harder to take out because of that is very painful. what can I do to stop that pain so I can take out the rest of the string. Can I numb it, if so what is the best numbing cream for my condition?

Hi.
As per your case history you are having a sebaceous cyst.
My treatment advice is -
1. Don't squeeze the lesion as it may worsen the condition.
2. Apply a mild antibiotic cream like fusiderm cream twice daily on it.
3. Take a NSAID like ibuprofen for 5-7 days.
4. Only curative treatment is excision under local anesthesia done by a dermato-surgeon.

Thanks.
