Suggest Treatment For Painful Bump On Eyelid

My father has a little ball on the top of his eyelid, he claims that it is on his eyeball and it is giving him pain but tolerant pain that he can handle, just wondering is there anything that can be life threatening we should know about or will this eventually disappear/ does it need medical treatment?

Hi,
Looking to the history he might be having infected stye and require treatment.
He might require one course of antibiotic medicine for3-5 days.
Put some antibiotic eye drops 2-3 hourly.
Do hot fomentation.
If you do not treat in time, it will burst open or encapsulated giving rise permanent bump on the site.
