Suggest Treatment For Painful Bumps On The Buttocks

Good afternoon doctor. My problem is I develop pimples on mu buttocks and both upper legs. Wanted to know what causes for pimples develop in those areas? It happens when I get out of work and when I sit on the sofa for a period of time. Thank you for your time. Have a nice day.

Hi Dear,

Welcome to HCM.

Understanding your concern. As per your query you have painful bumps on the buttocks which occurs when there is bacterial infection of hair follicles and when clogged pores of sebaceous gland filled with sebum ,dead skin and bacteria get infected. I would suggest you to maintain environment dry and clean. I would suggest you to consult dermatologist once and get it examined. you an go for antibiotics ( clindamycin ) , corticosteroid ointment , hydroquinone , laser therapy for scars only after doctors prescription. Do not scratch pimples as they will get infected , leave acne marks. Till now apply aloe vera gel and apply betnovate cream twice a day as this is safe.
