Hi,

Sometimes such cracks occur on a background of fungal infection (associated with itching), and often these cracks gets secondarily infected. Both these can be diagnosed by a direct inspection. For fungal, we can use topical anti-fungals like clotrimazole, while topical antibiotics like mupirocin or fusidic acid are used for secondary bacterial infection. Your doctor will guide you. Meanwhile, keep the area clean and dry always. Frequent wetting / persistent moisture itself can cause cracks there.

Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
