Suggest Treatment For Painful Cystic Pimple On Face

I have a very painful cystic pimple on my face...sorry, but I have been picking at it. Will it go away on it's own, or will I have to have it removed? It flares up when it's hot and humid. I had this problem years ago, and it is now popping up again. Good lord,I'm 57 years old!!!

Hi Dear ,

A per your query you have pimple on face which caame gain and again . Well there can be many reasons for pimple like stress , excessive sun exposure , skin infection , oily skin or allergy . I would suggest you to wash your face with facewash containing benzoyl peroxide and apply cream containing azelaic acid twice a day . Also apply raw honey before going to bed . If condition doesn't get better in a week then consult dermatologist for proper examination and rule out condition like swollen lymph node or skin infection . Doctor may prescribe antibiotics like minocyclin or clindamycin along with steroid ointment .

Hope your concern has been resolved,

Best Wishes,
Dr. Harry Maheshwari
