Hi, 2 weeks ago I somehow got a piece of food stuck in my right ear, so went to a&e to get it removed as it was lodged quite deep down causing discomfort, and I also didn't wan to risk pushing it further downwards. The nurse there managed to get out the piece of food using a piece of equipment but seemed to push it down further first, then cause my ear to bleed and cause a huge amount of pain getting it out. I took amoxicillin and ibuprofen for a week. For the first couple of days my ear was very painful, then as this pain went I started hearing constant ringing in my right ear, sometimes a whooshing sound as well as my pulse. I've been to see a doctor who said that in both ears he can't see the eardrum due to wax, aswell as dried blood in the right ear, so doesn't know if it's perforated. He also said the ringing is probably because of how blocked my right ear is, but also said the left one is just as blocked, so why can't I hear ringing out of this? Could you tell me the reason you think I'm getting this constant ringing in my right ear and when/if it will go? Thanks, Sam
