Suggest Treatment For Painful Knee Post Injury During Pregnancy

I m just about 20 weeks pregnant and slipped and fell this morning on my way to work. I was able to soften the fall a little bit but my left knee took a hard hit. It s a little sore and starting to bruise but now I m starting to have slight cramping in my stomach. Should I call my doctor and see if I need to get checked out?

Hello ma'am and welcome.

It is best to visit a doctor after any/all injuries especially during pregnancy. For now apply ice to the region and get as much bed rest as possible. get your knee physically examined and it may be advisable to get an early routine ultrasound examination.

Hope this helps.

Best wishes.
