Suggest Treatment For Painful Lump In The Groin Area

Hi I have what appears to be ulcers near on my vagina at the top in the fold near the urethra where discharge tends to accumulate. I had what I self diagnosed as a yeast infection which I get all the time. I am also prone to uti as well. The pharmacy recommendation was emla cream to numb the pain so I can function and pee which is not helping. I cleanse area daily with coconut oil and tee tree oil as water is not slippery enough and hurt..was told no bath as yeast likes warmth. Please what can I do to heal the sores they are the worst pain I ve ever felt. I have been tested for stds very recently so that is off the table. I am still taking canestent so I need to wait to finish to go to my Dr she said as that will alter results to see if it is in fact a yeast infection that ate away my skin.

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hi,

In most cases, this is just a swollen lymph node which doesn't require any specific treatment.

Also, considering your description this may be some other benign subcutaneous lesion such as lipoma, fibroma or atheroma.

And if there are no skin changes such as redness, pus discharge or pain and fever then you should not be worried since it can be easily surgically removed under local anaesthesia.

Then it there are doubts it can be sent to the patohistologic analysis.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr Ivan R. Rommstein, General Surgeon
