i have ahad a growth that started out about pea size on my back right above right butt cheek (hip area) it has gotten larger over the last five years and i think that it burst internally today. it is ver tender to the touch and does not feel very big at all now. Should I be concerned. I do not have health insurance and I cannot afford a trip to ER
1.The history suggest the possible cause could be gluteal abscess and collapsed status. 2.In this case if you are my patient i would have examined you and ask for an ultrasound scan. 3.Ultrasound will assess the lump, status of the lump ( collapse / collection within) and its source and exceptions. 4.The treatment of choice it this cad will be a course of antibiotics with wound care, but in complicated state a small incision and drainage followed by post incisional care. 5.Suggest do no disturb the lump, as you may complicate, see your GP get examined and needful treatment. Good luck.
