Suggest Treatment For Painful Lump On Hands

I had this pain in my right hand and a little lump it is on my vein for about three weeks. now my hand swells and my veins bulge out. Its right by my thumb I woke up the other morning it felt like someone kicked me in my back on the right side where my kidney is. Then last night I woke up crying i had charlie horses in both my legs the size of a softball in the center of my calfs. Could it be dehydration, or a blood clot I feel sick to my stomach like I want to vomit but it feels empty .

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hi,

You have three different issues with your health. Little lump in right hand that causes pain, secondly the Charlie horse with lumps in both calves and thirdly the pain in the right kidney area.
All may have different reason so let us see one by another.
The lump with pain and swelling in right hand can be due to infection. and may need an antibiotic and anti-inflammatory along with elevation of hand. If the abscess is well developed then obviously then may need incision and drainage.
The Charlie horse in both calves can be due to muscle spasm of unknown origin and thus needs a proper evaluation by a Doctor along with color doppler of the calves to rule out any DVT that is deep vein thrombosis. Most of the time this may be related to stress and anxiety or can occur due to other reasons.
Pain in the kidney area can be due to colitis, right kidney stone and infection.
Ultrasonography of abdomen, tests of blood and urine will help to know the cause and get treated properly.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. T Chandrakant,
