Suggest Treatment For Painful Lump On The Hands

I hit a wall with the outside of my hand yesterday. A small pea sized lump appeared immediately and today it is very painful. My fingers are not at all swollen, but it hurts to move my pinky and ring finger, plus do citcles with my wrist? Do you think I should have an X-ray?
