Suggest Treatment For Painful Lump On The Navel Area
I am a diabetic patient but lately I realise that my left side had something like a stone and very painful. just straight around my belly button to the left side. when I eat protein like pork or chicken i feel the the meat is hard to break down and feel very uncomfortable and sick. I cannot eat solid or hard food as it is too painful. At the moment I am sleeping on one side which is my left because my right side is very sore. I do not know what is and really the problem.
Painful lump what you are complaining about the navel area could be infected sebaceous cyst. Kindly get it clinically evaluated by consulting Surgeon, as it needs to be removed by means of excision.
In the meantime, you can take anti-inflammatory-analgesic medication such as Ibuprofen twice daily after food along with a course of an antibiotic containing Amoxicillin and Clavulanic acid.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care
Regards,
Dr Ashakiran S, General & Family Physician
