Suggest Treatment For Painful Lumps On The Hip

I have a hard painful mass on the backside of my right hip. It is about five inches long, one inch wide, and one inch deep. It doesn t move. I just found the mass but the area ha been hurting for awhile. I hadn t really touched it before, just put a heating pad on it. I did fall down on that hip about a month ago.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

I read carefully your query and understand your concern.

Your symptoms seem to be related to skin a muscle strain.
I suggest to avoid doing things that require you to bend at the hip or put a lot of pressure on the hip.
I suggest using an over-the-counter pain reliever such as Tylenol.
Treating pain with heat and cold may help.
Gently stretching your body may reduce hip.

Hope my answer was helpful.

If you have further queries feel free to contact me again.

Kind regards!
