Suggest Treatment For Painful Lymph Nodes In The Groin Area
I have a painful lymph node on the right side of my groin area. i noticed it 24 hours ago and is not getting better, walking is uncomfortable, it is very sore to touch. 3 days prior to pain I have felt ill, fatigue and bad headaches, diaria.I m thinking I have some sort of infection or virus, what can i do to get through this?
Hi. As per your case history of painful lymph node my treatment advice is - 1. We need to find the cause first - it may be due to localized infection on pubic or genital region or it may be due to generalized infection. 2. Take an NSAID like ibuprofen twice daily for 5 days and oral antibiotic like doxycyline 100mg twice daily for 5 days. 3. If problem persists beyond 5 days then consult dermatologist for further treatment.
Thanks. Dr. Harshit bhachech. MBBS, DDVL.
