Good morning Doctor,Myself Santosh 25,M. i am getting some over night rashes which are bit painful while touching it.as of now i got them on neck and elbow area. and even i got one black patch(which is not painful and appears quite dry) on upper lip.please tell me what is happening with me? Is these sings indicate any vitaminosis.
Hello and welcome to HCM, Patches on the body which are dark in color can occur due to various causes. A more detailed history is required to know probable cause of these rashes. Drug reactions are known to cause fixed drug eruptions in the form of rashes on various parts of body and most often upper lip. Hypervitaminosis is unlikely to cause rashes. Other primary skin diseases can also lead to similar rashes. A clinical examination is required for assessing the lesions and making diagnosis and thus management. I suggest you to consult a dermatologist for clinical examination and thus management.
Thanks and take care Dr Shailja Puri
