You are suggested to get a throat swab test, sputum test, & clinical examination done by an ENT to detect pharyngitis, laryngitis or any other pathology that is causing you symptoms. Take liquid food or semi solid food so that you do not hurt the throat mucosa. Take pain relieving medicines like acetaminophen or NSAIDs, one stat when needed after food to get relief from throat pain, swelling or inflammation.
Use a humidifier in the room to stay comfortable. Take cough lozenges in the mouth for relieve. Keep sipping water throughout the day. Avoid smoking or passive smoking. It will trigger your symptoms. Gargle with warm salt water. Your symptoms should go away after a little rest in 3-4 days. In case it persists than for pharyngitis you will need to take a course of antibiotics like Augmentin.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
