Otolaryngologist / ENT Specialist 's  Response
Hi

Welcome to HealthcareMagic forum

The pain could be due to acute inflammation of the pharynx and the larynx. You may require broad spectrum antibiotics along with metronidazole, povidone iodine throat gargles and a powerful anti-inflammatory medicine such as ibuprofen or diclofenac. Better to get admitted in the hospital and take injectable medicines and intravenous fluids.
