Suggest Treatment For Painful Swollen Ankle After An Injury

Hi. I injured my right foot earlier today. Walking into my home and the metal screen door scraped over the top of my foot. It stung but no real pain. Left a very small scratch. In the last 90 minutes or so, it had really started to hurt and can barely walk on it. Looks as though my foot ankle and bottom part of my right leg are starting to swell. What does this mean?

Hi,
It seems that you might be having heavy sprain on ankle joint giving this problem.
Apply ice pack 2-3 times a day for few days.
Take some NSAID medicine for pain and swelling.
Give complete rest to the part.
Go for x-ray ankle joint to rule out fracture.
Ok and take care.
