Suggest Treatment For Painful, Swollen, Incoming Molar In The Mouth
Hello, I have just noticed I have my wisdom teeth coming in, and from just looking at them they seem to be coming in normally aligned and are currently breaking through the gums (or however they normally come out). Both of my parents don t have a genetic history of implanted tooth surgery, and have had no complications, however, on the left side of my mouth the incoming molar seems to be painful/swollen= mostlikey pericoronitis. How do I treat it, will I need surgery, or is this just a temporary condition? An indicator? thanks

Suggest Treatment For Painful, Swollen, Incoming Molar In The Mouth
Hello, The symptoms seem to be related to an incoming molar. I suggest using anti inflammatory medication such as Ibuprofen 400 mg three times a day. I also suggest to use cold compresses at the area. The situation is temporary and will probably resolve on its own in a few days. Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further. Regards, Dr. Dorina Gurabardhi General & Family Physician
