Suggest Treatment For Painful Swollen Knee Because Of A Fall

Hi, 3 days ago i fell pretty badly on my knee, i have a huge bruise on the right of my left knee under my knee cap. the last couple of days my knee has started to swell and it is painful to walk on. any possible explanations as to why this is? and what can i do to get rid of it?
