Suggest Treatment For Painful Swollen Sores Behind Neck And Swollen Lymph Gland

I have painful swollen sores on the back of my neck and an enlarged swollen lymph gland on the right side. The muscles in my neck are sore on the right side and I m also feeling nauseated and fatigued constantly. I recently finished a prescription of amoxicillin and it didn t help with the skin sores. What is happening to me?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,
From history it seems that there might be having ingrown hair follicle infection producing abscess or might be having Carbuncle.
This infection does give rise enlarged neck lymph modes.
You might require still further course of higher antibiotic medicine.
If abscess is formed then it might require excision and drainage to cure infection.
Ok and take care.
