Suggest Treatment For Painful Toe With Oozing Pus

For several years i have been experiencing something with my big toe. It would start hurting and would produce puss from one side then scab over and it usually lasts any where from a week two several months but now it is on both sides of my toe and it feels as if my toe is bruised and is difficult to walk on. What is this, why do I have it and how do i make it stop returning and get rid of it for good?
