Its been going on for a little longer then a week and its kind of painful because its itching and i cant help to scratch it and it makes it worse . I dont know the cause of this . One side has improved but the other one not really . It is not uncomfortable to have sex or anything it just kind of hurts and is tender when i wipe or something like that . General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,
Thank you for asking at HCM.
I carefully read your question and understand the concern.
There are 2 main things that I am thinking. The most likely cause of it is a yeast infection. It might cause red, itchy area and sometimes white thick secretions. A more rare cause but simingly uncomfortable is local allergy reaction.
there are a few things I would recommend:
1. Make sure you do not use detergents or other chemical locally- they might cause irritation and local reaction
2. wash only with warm water and nothing else
3. local cream for candida. Sometimes you can find combination of antifungal (which helps with yeast infection) with a mild steroid (which helps with edema and allergy).
4. If you use the combination of anitfungal and steroid cream you will use it thin layer locally twice a day for a week. Do not use the steroid in the area for longer than a week.
5. if no improvement in 4-5 days or any worsening you will need to see a doctor

Hope this is helpful and answers to your question

Best regards

Hope
