Suggest Treatment For Painless Swollen Submental Lymph Node

hi, I have a painless swollen submental lymph node. I ve had it for over a month, and I m a bit worried. I m 21, and my primary care physician says dismissed it, and said it was partially due to my acne over my chin. However, it s not going away. It s moveable, and a little hard; about an inch and a half. I m currently taking Benzoyl-peroxide -erithromycin topical gel.

Hi..
Welcome to HEALTHCARE MAGIC..

I have gone through your query and can understand your concerns..

As per your complain painless swollen submental lymph node that is hard and mobile is most probably Reactionary Lymphadenitis and occurs due to infection..
It can occur due to infection in head and neck region and can also be due to pimples if they are aggressive..
I would suggest you to consult a General Surgeon and get evaluated and a thorough clinical evaluation and investigation like lymph node biopsy can help in confirmation of the cause of swelling and treatment can be done accordingly..
In case of infection you can be given a course of antibiotics like like Amoxicillin, anti-inflammatory painkiller like Ibuprofen and you will be advised to apply alternate warm and cool compresses over it..

Hope this information helps..

Thanks and regards.
