Cardiologist 's  Response
Hello,

After going through your medical query I understand your concern and I would like to tell you that generally mitral valve prolapse during pregnancy is not high risk and obstetric outcomes are expectedly good.

If you are facing severe palpitation then that can be managed with sotalol which is a safe drug to be used during pregnancy.

It’s recommended for you to get Transthoracic Echocardiography done and consult a cardiologist personally for proper management.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr Bhanu Partap, Cardiologist
