Suggest Treatment For Panic Attacks After Drinking Alcohol

Hi I had an alcohol binge on the weekend and now I m having severe panic to the point where I feel I will have a heart attack. I already have anxiety and this is the most severe I ve ever felt IT with the physical symptoms and I m terrified of them. And I safe to ride this out? Also I get tremors when the panic flares up.

Hi,

It seems from the history that you are suffering from anxiety disorder. First of all, don't feel guilty for alcohol binge on the weekend. The guilt for a binge is adding to the anxiety. Just take a deep breath and relax.

I would not recommend you to drive or travel in this situation. I would advise you to consult a psychiatrist and explain the entire history to the doctor. He/she will advise you some anti-anxiety medications and you will be fine.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
