Suggest Treatment For Paranoid Schizophrenia

My wife, Age 82,was diagnosed with Paranoid Schizophrenia in March, 2014. Her Psychiatrist had her on Abilify monthly injections for 13 months, with no improvement in her condition. She has been hospitalized on four occasions between June of 2014 and April 2016.Her condition today is getting worse, as she had to quit oral meds, which caused her stomach problems. She will not see her Dr. as she feels like he can t help her. Can you recommend a Facility or Hospital in the Tampa Fl.. area, that can help her?

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

* The treatment of paranoid schizophrenia needs consultation with an expert psychologist in terms of prescription of antipsychotic medication of different class depending upon the level of clinical severity.

Most nearby primary care center with a physician facility can be of great help to deal with her condition.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr. Bhagyesh V. Patel, General Surgeon
