Suggest Treatment For Partial Left Retina Detachment, Blurred Vision And Pain In The Eye

16 months ago I was assaulted and my left retina became partially detached and that was fixed and now this morning I woke up with a very large black floater that s like spider web ish blurred vision and pain in my eye I didn t know if I should contact my retinal specialist immediately or wait until Monday thanks so much

Hi,

This is considered an emergency, chances being that there is a recurrence of retinal detachment. This require immediate reattaching the retina. Floaters are part of same pathology.

Though such detachments are not associated with pain and discomfort. What is to be done is that an appointment with your retina doctor is to be urgently booked and the retina is to be examined in detail and further management done on the basis of findings there of.
