Suggest Treatment For Partial Vision Loss, Dizziness And Headache Caused From Air Travel

Hi I was inflight from NY to SF and mid way i suddenly saw white and black dots clouding the lower half of my vision. I then tried to control my breathing but it wouldn t go away. After a few minutes my entire vision turned black with white dots and i can only see the person in front of me faintly. I did eat when we took off, and drank a small bottle of water at around 3:00 (first meal of the day) and drank a Baileys too. I did feel my mouth drying up but i was losing my vision and getting panicky of course. I couldn t sit still as i was losing my vision and getting dizzy , stomach and headache as well. What do you think happened? And why did it happen? Thank you ! Karen

Hello,

The symptoms you mentioned can be due to various reasons. Are you on any medication currently?vision loss can be related to sudden change in intracranial pressure. Sometimes sudden decrease in blood sugar levels also can cause this.

I suggest visit your doctor and get yourself examined without delay. A physical examination is needed along with medical history. Along with some blood tests some imaging tests also need to be performed to understand the exact cause behind this. once the reason is clear, further management will be done effectively.
