Suggest Treatment For Partially Torn Quadriceps Muscle

Just found out my younger brother may have possibly completely torn/partially torn his quad muscle on the inside of his left knee, was wondering how long of a recovery we are looking at, and what are the chances of him coming back to finish the football season this year?
