Suggest Treatment For Peeling Of Finger Skin

my son hands are peeling very bad. what can i do to help stop it. about two weeks ago or three my son came home from school and stated that he was itching all over and for several days it went on until i took him to the er. so the er check him out and gave him creams and anitibotic and steroids

Hi Dear,

Understanding your concern.

Thanks for your query . The symptoms you mention in query are pointing towards a condition known as hand eczema . It can occur due to may reasons like allergy to certain substance (common) , exposure to any chemical , frequent washing of hands and changing weather conditions .

I would suggest to apply calamine lotion to moisturize your hands , keep away from allergens like chemical wash your hand only with warm water , apply aloevera gel mix with calendula lotion and take over the counter antihistamine like benadryl .

If condition still persist then consult dermatologist for proper examination and treatment . Doctor may prescribe topical corticosteroids , antibiotics or retinoids like derivative of vitamin A.
