Suggest Treatment For Periods Problem

I am aged 40ys,5ft 3inches,60kgs..medical history of endometric ovarian cysts operated upon in Oct2008..missed my periods last month..this month got my periods on 12th which was very light till 20th and then since 20th till now i.e 6days it's been heavy with large clots..pls advise what do I need to..see a gynac or wait it out till the periods get over..what medication to take for the time being to control the bleeding?
