Hi!
Welcome to health care magic!
I am Dr. Saddiq Ul Abidin. I have read your problem in detail and will try to help you in best way possible.
The issue of numbnes alongwith
diabetes makes
peripheral neuropathy most likely. Also the balance problem can be due to autonomic neuropathy aka loss of automatic control of blood pressure changes with posture.
Good control of diabetes, regular followup, use of pregabalins and B12 supplements may help.
Only neuropathy can not make you go to the verge of
amputation until there is associated
gangrene due to vasculopathy or infected wounds caused by impaired pain and temperature sensations.
You need to take care of your feet like you take care of your face. Use soft, and closed footwear. Careful remove nails without cutting them too deep. Take care of any wound even if it is trivial.
Hope this has answered your query, if you have any more questions, feel free to ask via my profile.
Regards,
Dr. Saddiq Ul abidin.
