Suggest Treatment For Persistant Swelling In Both Legs And Feet While Having Hypertension
i have been experiencing persistant swelling in both of my legs and feet, makes the shape distorted, some numbness in the feet and thighs does not matter if I were heels of flats. I have HTN, not diabetic, hypothyroidism, sleep apnea. have undergone quite a few diagnostic test because I often get palpitations,SOB and feeling as if I m going to pass out when standing after I eat...really does not matter what I eat.
Understanding your concern. As per your query you have persistent swelling in both legs and feet while having hypertension . Well there can be many reasons for symptoms you mention in query like overweight , standing for prolonged periods of time , blood clot of the leg , venous insufficiency , organ failure like heart, liver, kidney or pericarditis . I would suggest you to consult cardiologist for proper examination . Doctor may order ECG , TMT and complete blood profile . Doctor may prescribe beta blockers , furosemide or calcium channel blockers along with blood thinners . For now lower your salt consumption and keep your legs elevated while lying down .
Hope your concern has been resolved.
