Suggest Treatment For Persistent Acne

I am 18 years old medical student and i have combination skin which is apparently sensitive too. I get a lot of acne especially the ones that are really painful under the skin and have no yellow head. Using topical retinoids only worsened my case abd i have also tried benzoyl peroxide salicyluc acid and what not. I dont pick my zits and still they leave scars or ugly marks. Is there any other way to solve this from the root like blood putifying or some treatment that will work from the inside.
