Suggest Treatment For Persistent Chest Pains

Our 47 year old son left work yesterday with chest pains. Approx. 20 minutes later, he pulled his vehicle onto to a median. A passerby called police to tell them of a disabled vehicle in the medium. When the officer arrived at the scene, he found our son unresponsive on the front seat. He administered a shot of Norcan. Nothing happened. EMS was dispatched to the scene. A pulse could not be found. The hit him with the paddles (only once, I believe) and started CPR, took him to the ER. His cardiac enzyme levels when first tested were 14/ They continued to go up. When we left they were at 48. They can t do any other testing at this time. The are keeping him heavily sedated and iced, as they are concerned about loss of oxygen to the brain. What does the significant rise in the cardiac enzyme level indicate?
