Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Hi Doctor, I am Ashok , father of 11 months old girl baby. She is having cold and cough from 5 days now. I am giving her Albutamol (Centaur Pharma) and Bactoclav as advised by docter. After 2 days of dose start from today some rashes appears on body and leg (seems to be allergy, is it ok. Your suggestions on the same will be very much helpful. Thanks and Regards
Kids are very sensitive to any outside stimulus be it cold or any medicine. Is this the first time she has been prescribed the medicines or she was given it before? You said the rash appeared after 2 days of giving medicines so its very likely due to the medicines.
It is possible that she got the rashes due to some other reason as well and to understand what type of rashes are those, I would suggest you to take her to her treating doctor and get it examined. The doctor might change the medicines to something she is not sensitive to. I would suggest you to stop giving the medicines to her and take her to the doctor.
You can follow the doctor’s advice on continuing or changing the medicines after the visit.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Manisha Auradkar, General & Family Physician
