My son, who is 20 years old, weighs about 65 Kg has been suffering with high grade fever (104 to 105.5 F degree since last four days, with a persistent cough and pain in chest when coughing) and has been diagnosed with Typhoid fever with the following Pathology results. Typhoid IgM Antibody, positive with Antibody Index of 1.8 and Typhoid IgG Antibody, positive with Antibody Index of 2.131, MCH: 26.7, MCHC:32.1, %RDW-CV:17.5, %Neut:13, %%LYMP:49.5, PLT:101 x 10 e3/yl The doctor has advised him to take Cap Cefspan 400mg (once a day for 10 days) and Tab Entamezol DS (thrice a day) with Panadol (thrice a day). My question is that what doctor has advised is the best possible course of action and what type of care I should undertake for speedy recovery of him with minimal side effects.
