Suggest Treatment For Persistent Cough And Respiratory Disease In A Child

Hi, my son has something called a respiratory disease describe by the doctor… he gets sick quite often and I give him breathing treatment along with predcort for a quite consistent cough… is there anything else I can get to stop his cough or even to stop him from being sick so often?
