Noted the history about a 28 year old female with 5 month pregnancy having coughing particularly at night in spite of Augmentin as written by the Gynecologist. SInce you are pregnanct and carrying 5 months of pregnancy we have to think about the safe medicine for the baby. More coughing in the night indicates that there is a post-nasal drip that is troubling you as the discharge comes in throat causing irritation and coughing. Hence I would advise you the following in such a situation: Decongestant nasal drops in the evening and before bed time, steam inhalation. Antihistamine. May be steroidnasal spray to control allergy locally. All these things to be taken only after consulting your Gynecologist.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
