Suggest Treatment For Persistent Cough

I have had a cough for almost four weeks. I was given antibiotic because she felt my sinus was clogged and she heard sound in my lungs. But chest xray came back really good but i finished antibiotic. I still cough off on during day but from 5pm i cough alot while sitting up laying down. But now so far i can sleep without coughing. Its driving me nuts. She thought post nasal drip but i also read about silent gerd. Its embaressng having these cough spells. Shouldnt cough be gone by now? Is this normal? Especially at same time everynight???

Hi,
Having lower tract respiratory infection, after infection cured, cough reflex or productive cough remains for pretty long time.
During lying down position cough gravitated down on lower back of lungs causing more bouts of cough.
Continue with some cough syrup.
Take Montec LC for few days.
Avoid cold drinks and junk food.
Ok and take care.
