If you are smoking then you may have cough by chronic bronchitis.... Chest x ray useful.... If you have allergy to certain substance like dust, pollen etc...cough can occur.... For that cetrizine can taken while cold. If you have repeated viral infection then it can occur... Just now treat sore throat with amoxycillin andcdrik more water. Salt water gargle useful. Decongestent taken if congestion more. If cough troublesome dextromethorphan taken. If still cough there we will do further work up Take care
